10/31/2023 0 Comments Dp chip forum![]() I've been doing alot of research with diesel chips and what I have come across is that with the new diesel engines (not just nissan) the companies are waking up to fact that people are putting some "cheaper" diesel chips on their cars and infact are destroying their engine because all the chip is doing is ramping up the rail pressure and as a result the injector pins are failing and blowing holes in the pistons. I have a trailor that fully loaded is close to about 2 tonne and i'm finding that when going up hills the car is having a little bit of trouble, i'm curious how you guys are getting around this Possible Option: Use current snorkel with an upgraded airbox and 3" pipe from airbox to turbo with 2.5" flange elbow to turbo compressor housing(easy bolt on).Hey guys just recently purchased a 2010 st and overall very happy with the car, except when I'm towing. ![]() Solution depends on what you are prepared to spend and it helps if you able to do the work. Too much restriction before turbo causes a vacuum and the turbo works harder to overcome this. This alone will provide improved performance pwr/torque/EGTs. ![]() As stock, the induction is too restrictive and would be even more so if you go with Chip or remap and run at higher boost. Irrespective of what you do longer term, IMO, these ZD30 engines do need to breath well, suggest you look at doing an upgrade to your air intake (induction) first and this may satisfy your need. ECO from home up to the snowy mtns (1300m), total 450kms: stock 14.5l/100kms and now easy 12 l/100kms - veh 3.5TĬhip / Remap / or leave as is, up to you. My eng CRD, I have done progressive eng mods over time - NADS, cooler, intake induction, remaps, high flow turbo (run max B 26psi (rear wheels 136kW/512N-m) have ended up with a good result but fair few $$ spent to get there and lessons learnt.
